Monday May 14 th ,1917 .
The Board of Publ is Works of the City of Richmond , Indi ana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday
May 14 th , 1917, at 9 o' el ock A. M. All, the members of said
Board being present , Messrs , Bavis , Marlatt and McMinn.
The fo 11 owi ng proceedings 'were had , to -wit : -
The City Civil Engineer, reported that he had secured an option
for purchase of a piece of ground belonging to Miss Mildred
le
' Dickinson, for the purpose of constructing thereon a Sewage
Disposal Plant , for the property in Glen View , Add , corner of
Main & 23rd Streets , for the sum of $25.00, with the privilege
of using said disposal plant for the benefit of her property ,
and he recommended that he be authorized. to secure the deed for
this property, and that a warrant be drawn for said amount In
favor of Miss Dickinson. on motion reconmendati on was concurred
in, and warrant ordered for said paymentR
The Board entered into contract with the Robinson Fire Apparatus
Mfg . , Co. , St. 'Louis , Mo. , for Motor for Hose wagon No. 2 , for
the sum of $946.80, with an allowance of $200.00 for old damaged
motor , out of said wagon.
The Board meets to hear all persons interested, or whose property
is affected by the improvement of North 13th Street , from North
"F" Street to Railroad , by paving roadway wi th ei ther Asphalt -
Brick, Concrete or Creosoted Wood Block, and constructing cement
curb & gutter, under Improvement r;esolut icn No. 540-1917 . On ac€
count of improvement of North "F" Street , and construction of
sewer for benefit of property on west side of said street , the
Board takes said improvement under advisement , and continued
hearing on said re s oluti on ind +fi n .te ly . •
The Board adopted Improvement Resolution No. 541-1917 , for the
construction of sewer in NW. 2nd Street , from Chestnut Street to
1st alley north , on the- understanding & agreement that the Miller
Kemper Co. , pay $200.00 toward the cost of said sewer .
The Board. unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 542-1917 ,
for const ruc ti on of a Sewage Disposal Plant for the benefit of
the lots in Glen View, Addition, corner of Main & 23rd Streets ,
All according to petition and agreement signed by Charles F. Oren,
Martin Hoover, Chas. Schumaker , Nathan J. McPherson, Elizabeth
Beck and Mrs . Elizabeth Crome , agreeing to .payl/6 one sixth of
the cost each , and the city to pay 40% of same , and to keep and
maintain said di sposal plant in good condition, Water from dovn-
spouts & ci stern_ overflows , not to be allowed to enter said plant .
The Board then adjourned ;
