The B oa rd of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana„ I
met in re gu lar session at the of fi ce of said Board Monday Apri 1
30th, 1917 , at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said. Board
-being pre sent , Messrs , Bav is , Mar latt and McMinn. The following
proceedings were had , to wit : -
The Board granted Fred Taggart , permission to construct under pri -
vate contract , a dri veway across sidewalk at 525 North 21st Street .
Permissi on was granted Frank Harding, to construct under private
contract a driveway across sidewalk abutting Tract 196, on North-
west 3rd Street, all the above subject to the direction and super-
vision of the City Civil Engineer.
The Board approved final assessment roll under Improvement Resolu-
tion No. 533-1917 , for sewer aro and intake at City Light Plant
and directed the same transmitted to the Department of Finance.
The Board approved contract made by and between C. A. Kleinknecht ,
Sup' t. , M. E. L. & P. P. and M. H. Gaar , of Gaar Nursery, Cambridge
City, Indi ana, for laying out and planting & ill rnish ing 1205
shrubs , fl ow ers and ,trees , at Light Plant gro unds , for the sum of
$300.00,, complete , (See contract ) .
Messrs , J. Johnson & F. Pick el , a committee from the Richmond Com-
mercial Club , appeared before the Board , requesting that sanitary
dri nking fountains be installed, the same was taken under advi ce-
ment for investigation by the Board..
Mr. Clem Gaar , appeared before the Board and requested th ey in-
vestigate the bad condi ti on of North "E" & "F" Streets, from 16th
Street east , and try and have the same repaired.
