The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indi ana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday Apri 1 12th,._.1917 , at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board being present, Messrs, Bavis , Marlatt and McMinn. The following pro ceedings were had, to-wit: - . Pursuant to notice gi ven property owners east of South 23rd -- on south side of Main Street, a meeting was held in regard to sewage conditions for this locality, -after carefully con- sidering this questi on, it was decided to leave the same in- hands of Board & City Engineer as to manner of securing the necessary ground for filter beds, and report,. On account of food condi tions , the Board decide that the Sup' t of Park be directed to place the ground under cultivation heretofore proposed to be used for play-ground purposes. The Sup' t., of Parks was . directed to take dom. the old fence at Starr Park. in • The Board meets to hear all persons .interestedvor whose proper- ty is affected by the construction of cement roadway in the alley between South 9th & 10th Street , from South "F" to "G" Street , under Improvement Resolution No. 536-1917. No one appearing or remonstrating the Board decide that the benefits • to property liable to be assessed for said . improvement are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil En- gineer, and thereupon take final action on said resolution • the same 'being -confi rmed wi thout modi ficati on. The Board meets to hear all persons interested- in,or whose property- is affecte-d by the improvement of North "B" Street, by construction of cement sidewalks , curb & gutters on both - sides of street, from North 7th to. 18th Street , except where already laid , under Improvement Resoluti on No. 537 -1917. A raciftuamin remonstrance having been filed, signed, by a major- ity of the abutting property owners residing on said improve - ment , on motion the Board rescinded- the resoluti. on. The Board received bids for painting North 10th St , Bridge, as follows , to -wit : - James S. Logan , bid : Cleaning & applying one coat paint,0300.00 Second coat if needed, $150 .00 - Hanar & Fahlsing, bid : - Cleaning & applying one coat paint ,$576 .50 , second coat ;0352.35.
