Thursday April 5th ,1917.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday
April 5th , 1917 , • at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said
Board being present , Messrs , Bavis, Marlatt and McMinn.
The following proceedings were had , to-wit : -
The Board meets to hear all persons interested in the improve-
ment of 1st alley south of South "A" Street , by constructing a
cement roadway from South 4th to 5th Street, under Improvement
Resolution No® 534-1917. After carefully considering a remon-
strance filed by resi dents and owners of back lying lots, the
Board on motion rescind the resolution.
The Board received letter from Miller-Kemper Co, in reference
to sewage disposal at property in Glen View Addition, on mo-
tion the. Clerk was directed to write letter to said company
dictated by Prest . Bavis , and inviting them together with the
affected-property owners tomeet at Boards. office 9 o' clock A.M:
Thursday April, 12th , 1917 . -
A petition was presented , for an electric light on North 18th
Street between "A" & "C" Street , the Sup' t. , of Light Plant
was directed to place light at North 18th & TB" Streets.
The Board received bide for the construction of sewer in the
alley between Ross & Boyer Street , from Vine to John Street ,
under Improvement Resolution No. 535-1917, as follows :-
" John F. Hipskind, bid. :
Sewer complete 02.98 per lin-foot .
• " L. P. Meredith, bid ;
Sewer complete 03.87 per tin-foot.
All bids being above the estimate of the City Civil Engine-
er , the Board holds the same in _abeyance until report from
affected property owners , as to whether the desired the same
constructed at price named in bid .
The Board received bids , for furnishing the City with crushed
stone for 1917 , as follows to-wit : -
" The Reinheimer Quarries Co. , bid ;
Crushed lime stone , f.o.b. Richmond , Indi ana, 00.91 per ton.
" The A. & C. Stone & Lime Co. , bid ; _
Crushed stone , f. o.b. Richmond, Ind . , 2000-1,1, 00.92 per ton.
The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for furnishing
& installing Revolving Screens , _ to fit screen house at M.E.
- L. & P. P.
Claims to the amount of 0'9235 .12 were allowed & ordered. paid.
