Monday March 26 th , 1917 .
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana ,
-net in regular session at the office of said Board. Monday
March 26 th , 1917 , at 9 o' cl o'ck A. M. All the members of said
Board being present , Messrs , Davis , P. arlatt and McMinn.
The following proceedings were had , to-wit : -
The Board received a peti_ti on from the P. C. C. & St. D. Railroad
Company, praying for permission to i;la ce two new tracks and re-
align their tracks crossing North 15th & 16th Streets , The Board
enter into a tentative agreement subject to acceptance of agree-
' ment to be drwan by the City Attorney , covering grades of streets
and safeguards against public injury . y y
The Board instructed the Street Commissioner, to purchase a Ford
Car, for his department , as provided for by ordinance passed by
the Common Counci 1.
The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for crushed stone
for the City' s use during season of 1917 .
The City Civil Engineer, was directed to prepare plans , etc . , for
constructing cement sidewalk on north side of North "D" Street ,
from Ft-Wayne Avenue to North 8th Street.
The Engineer reported hole in sidewalk in front of No. 108 North
6th Street, the Street Commssioner was ordered to repair same .
Mr. lawall, appeared before the Board reporting damages incurred
to his automobile on North 8th Street Saturday P. M. By the City
Fire Department , Mir. lawall, was informed by the City Attorney
the City was not liable to any damages to vehicles or the like
caused by fire department in going to or returning from an alarm
of fi re .
