Mayor Latta called the meeting to order at 9:32 p.m. Roll call was
taken.
This is a public hearing regarding the annexation agreement of Lots
2 through 6 of The Lake Subdivision.
Mr. Waldock summarized his report to the Board regarding the
annexation agreement: The agreement involves five properties at the
north end of The Lake Subdivision, Lots 2 through 6. The annexations
would specifically bring a large subdivision project located north of
this subdivision into adequate contiguity with the present Village
limits.
The benefit to the Village in terms of revenue generation is listed
in the memo dated June 20, 1989. It is estimated approximately
$385,000 in annual revenues would be generated by the development in
the surrounding area, which could become possible via this annexation,
and that would be revenues after full development of The Lakelands
and River Ridge Estates. Also there would be $l.l million in fees
associated with the two projects. This continuous link could also
make possible future growth along the northeastern corridor.
J. Dement questioned Item H on Page 4 of the Annexation Agreement
regarding private wells and cross connections.
Mr. Waldock explained development policy has been to allow private
wells to continue. These would be non-potable, they would be for
exterior use only.
J. Dement stated he feels that if they have our public water supply,
that according to our ordinance, they cannot use their private well for
potable water. Feels this should be clarified in the agreement.
The Board asked M. Pusinelli to check the ordinance and possible came
up with some terminology to clarify this in the agreement.
There were no comments from the audience.
