The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana ,
met in regular session at the officeof said Board Monday
February 19th , 1917 , at 9 ot1clock A. M. All the members of
- said Board being present , Messrs , Bay is , Marlatt & McMinn.
The fo 11 owing pro ceedi rigs were 'had , to -wit :
The Board meets to hear all persons interested, or whose
property is affected by Improvement Resolution No. 531-
- 1917 , providing for the construction of cement. curb and
gutter on both sides of North "D" Street, from North 9th
to 16th Street. After hearing all persons interested who
appeared, and carefully considering a remonstrance filed
against that part of said street from North 14th to 16th •
Street , the Board overrules the same , and thereupon de-
cides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed
fa said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of
same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and there-
upon take final action on same , the resolution_being con-
firmed wi th out modi fi ca ti. on. •
The Board meets" to hear all persons interested, or whose
property is affected by Improvement Resolution No. 532-
1917 , providing for the construction of cement curb Sc. gut-
ter on South 20th Street, from Main to South "A" Street.
After hearing all persons 'interested who appeared (No one
appearing ) The Board decides that the benefits to property •
liable to be assessed for said 'improvements are equal to •
the estimated cost, of same as reported by the City Civil
Engineer, and therupon takes final actions on said resolu-
tion, the same being confirmed without modification.
The matter of installing a "Gasoline -tank and pump" in
patrol shed for police department was discussed, and it
was decided, that the large, tank installed in fire depart-
ment was ample for all conveyances in the bu.i ld ings , and •
to give out requisition blanks for gasoline , to Engineer-
ing Department & Police Department , to be presented to the
Fire Department in order to keep a correct record on said
gasoline .
In preparing specifications for Dam & Revolving screen & •
house , the Sup't ., of Light Plant was instructed to in •
-
clude two boilers with required stokers , piping , foundation
etc . , necessary to complete the installation of same, sub-
ject to .eventually installing if after investigation it
is found necessary to install.
