Thursday February -8th , 1917.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board Thurs-
day February 8th, 1917, at 9 ,o' clock A. M. All the members
of 'said: Board being present , Messrs , Bavis , Marlatt and
McMinn, the following proceedings were had , to-wit : -
Mr. C. A. Kleinknecht , Sup' t., -of M.E. L.& P.P. presented
report asking for improvements to light plant in the amount
of approximately $150 ,000.00, consisting of 1 -4000 K.W.
Horizontal Steam Condensing Turbi,e , 1-8000 sq-ft, Surface
Condenser ' in connection with turbine, 2 Boilers 500 H.P.
each , suitable for 200 lbs . pressure & 150% super-heat ,
Stokers . for above boilers , 1-boiler feed water heater comp:,,:_,
plete with recording meter, .Revolving Screen & Screen house •
A Darn to be constructed just below our intake line. The
Board take same under advisement for. investigation.
The Board award the contract for .const.ruc•ting extending
sewer from present sewer near end of Carpenter' s Mild. Rabe.
to a point below the intake of light plant, under Improve-
ment Resolution No. 533-1917. at .price named in modified
bid of February 8th , 1917, to-wit : -
24" concrete pipe laid. complete $2.65 per tin-foot
24" Corrugated culvert pipe Galvanized 40' complete $3.25ft.
Manhole complete - $40.0 0.
The Clerk was directed to advertize for Street Sweeper with
Sprinkler attachment.
The Board then adjourned, •
