Of fi ce of Board of Public Works ,
City of Richmond , Indi ana,
Thursday January llth, 1917.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana,
met in regular session at the 'office of said Board , Thursday
January 11th, • 1017 , at 9 o clock A. M. All the members of said
Board being present , Messrs , Bav is , P. arlatt and McMinn.
The following proceedings were had , to .-wit: _
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 530-
1917 , for the improvement of South "A" Street , by paving the
roadway from east line of South 3rd to west line of South 5th
Street , with one of the kinds of modern ci ty pavements , to--Ivit;
Asphalt - Brick - Concrete or Creosoted Wood Block,
The Board grant permi ssi on to Wm. H. Romey , to inst all two
ornamental light posts & lights abutting his property on west
•
side of South 9th Street .
The Board take up -the matter of bills or differences of opinion
between the City & Starr Piano Co. , in matter of _Water_ Right
charges , discount on bills and new motors installed in Washing-
ton Theatre , wi th Messrs , Harry & Fred , Gennett, Sup' t. Light
Plant, City attorney and Board, after heari ng evidence in said
natters , the same was referred to City Attorney, for wri tting
an adjustment of said differences.
The Board again take up the peti ti on of fi rernen , in matter of
increasing pay of members of fi re department , on moti on of Mr.
Marlatt , the same was referred to the Common Council , after
which Mr. McMinn, moved the matter be reconsidered and the same
be expunged from the_ re cords , moti on prevailed.
