Thursday January 4th , 1917.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met
in regular session at the office of said Board , Thursday January
4th, 191U, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Bpard be-
ing present , Messrs , Bavis , Marlatt and McMinn. The following
proceedings were had , to-wit :-
Messrs , Elleman & Roberts of Randolph St , appeared before the
Board, requesting that a storm water sewer be constructed in ,
said street from Vest 5th Street to river, on account of the
cost of same , the board takes the matter under advisement .
The Board received the resignation of Carl Wadman,. Capt, of No.
2 Hose Co , which -was on motion accepted with regrets , and wish-
ing him the best of success , and expressing their appreciation
of his services with the fire department, (resignat,i bn to take
effect February 1st , 1917. )
The City Attorney was directed to investigate the city' s liabili -
ty in water right charges inherited by the city in assuming the
property of the Richmond Light , Heat & Power Co , also a bill
of Dr. E.B. Grosvenor for Y1i2.00 against M.E.L.& P.P.
The City Civil Engineer, presented his annual report for the
year 1917 , which was placed on file .
The Board adopted Improvement Resolution No. 526-1917 , for the
improvement of South 4th Street and Ft-Wayne Ave , from South"A"
Street to North "D" Street ; by paving with one of the kinds of
modern city pavement to-wit : Asphalt-Brick-Concrete or Creosoted
Wood Block, together with necessary curb & gutter, where not al-
• ready provided with a standard pavement & C.& G. in• good con-
dition.
The Board adopted Improvement Resolution No. 527--1917 , for the
improvement of North "F" St , from North 10th to 15th St , by pav-
ing with Asphalt-Brick-Concrete or Creosoted Wood Block, together
with necessary curb & gutter , where not already provided with a
standard pavement & c.& g. in good condition.
The Sup' t. , of Light Plant was directed to purchase a mule for
plant.
