In the interim, find a new route for traffic through town. We won’t play. You are taking it. Never forget, the buses community, not the city, paid for those lots. The hell the city is supporting its businesses. Parking is our lifeblood and critical for safety. It is much more safe to say that the city supports its homeless and low income people who don’t work. You all deserve to live with the consequences of your actions. To the best of my knowledge, your apartment rental in eureka is a ruse, since your kids are enrolled in Mckinleyville. I just told my people that ads on the tv and radio about this along with lawsuits will be much cheaper than working with you. We will be hiring a pr firm. Merry and Blessed Christmas Sent from my iPhone On Dec 23, 2022, at 8:06 AM, Miles Slattery <mslattery@eurekaca.gov> wrote: Good morning Rob, I am sorry for not following your line of reasoning. The Lloyd Building is currently an imminent danger that needs to be addressed. There is no relation of this emergency situation to parking or the Koster couplet. The City has declared an emergency. I am the Director of Emergency Services for the City of Eureka. It is my job to ensure that imminent dangers are addressed. In this case, I confer with building experts and engineers to determine the best path forward. In this collaboration, it was determined the building has to come down. We contacted the owner and informed her of the decision. Now we are proceeding expeditiously to remedy the hazard. If another property owner takes over ownership, we will proceed in the same manner. Doing anything different would be inequitable. I truly am sorry for your frustration and can assure you the City supports all of its businesses. Contact the Helpdesk if you are unsure! At our meeting, I will also bring up why we should cooperate on coster couplet. Find a new route. I like our land the way it is. The city will receive the same cooperation that I have. If people are hurt or die in traffic, I am truly sorry. However, I am trying to protect the safety of sn and other women downtown. This is going to be a fun meeting!!!! Get where it is going? I am tired of your bullshit. You ALWAYS find a path to a snotty and ill thought out no. The people of eureka and this county deserve better. I think that you are well advised to find a different path. You should cater and protect your business center’s constituents. Do your council KNOW that we are trying to protect fellow females who work in eureka? It may be time for a female city manager who cares about the safety of women. Merry and Blessed Christmas to all. With 220 eureka employees, 1,400 housing units planned for the city, I am tired of miles “misspeaking” or just misstating facts, we need somebody we can trust. Frankly, without us, there is no potential path to meeting needs. I am furious. Miles, please bring your city counsel, mayor and a council member.
