At 7:02 p.m. Mayor Latta opened the continued meeting from January
16, 1989.
Roll call was taken, all members were present.
L. Kelly moved to adopt Ordinance No. 1198, Annexing Property
Owned By The Village Of Plainfield. Seconded by D. Gullicksen.
Vote by roll call. Lewin, yes; Callanan, yes; Kelly, yes; Dement,
yes; Gullicksen, yes; Baotz, yes. 6 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
K. Callanan moved to authorize the Village President and Village
Clerk to execute and hereby accept and agree to be bound by all
terms and conditions of the Order of the Pollution Control Board
in PCB88-134, December 15, 1988 as amended by Board Order of
January 19, 1989. Seconded by J. Dement, Vote by roll call,
Lewin, yes; Callanan, yes; Kelly, yes; Dement, yes; Gullicksen,
yes; Bootz, yes. 6 yes, 0 no. Motion carried. (This variance
will expire April 15, 1992 and this project must be completed.)
K. Callanan reported present compensations for Village Officials
are: Village Trustee - $600.00 ($25.00 per Board Meeting
attended); Liquor Commissioner - $1,000.00 per year; Village
President $2,400.00 per year; and Village Clerk - $2,500,00 per
year. Proposed compensations are: Village Trustee - $25.00 for
each scheduled, special, and workshop meetings attended; Liquor
Commissioner $1,500.00 per year; Village President - $3,600.p0
per year; and Village Clerk - $3,750.00 per year. This would
affect. the new Board elected in April, 1989, not those who's term
expires in 1991.
K. Callanan moved to adopt Ordinance No. 1199 Changing The
Compensation Of The Village Trustees and shall be paid $25.00
for each scheduled, special, and workshop meeting attended.
Seconded by D. Lewin. Vote by roll call. Lewin, yes; Callanan,
yes; Kelly, yes; Dement, yes; Gullicksen, yes; Bootz, yes. 6
yes, 0 no. Motion carried.

K. Callanan moved to adopt Ordinance No. 1200 Changing The
Compensation Of The Local Liquor Control Commissioner and shall
be $1,500.00 payable annually on the first Monday of May in each
year. Seconded by D. Lewin. Vote by roll call. Lewin, yes;
Callanan, yes; Kelly, abstain; Dement, yes; Gullicksen, yes;
Bootz, yes. 5 yes, l abstention. Motion carried,
K. Callanan moved to adapt Ordinance No. 1201 Changing The
Compensation Of The Village President and shall be $3,600.00
payable annually. Seconded by D. Lewin. Vote by roll call.
Lewin, yes; Callanan, yes Kelly, abstain; Dement, yes; Gullicksen,
yes; Bootz, yes. 5 yes, 1 abstention. Motion carried.
K.- Callanan moved to adopt Ordinance No. 1202 Changing The
Compensation Of The Village Clerk and shall be $3,750.00 annually.
Seconded by D. Gullicksen. Vote by roll call. Lewin, yes;
Callanan, yes; Kelly, yes; Dement, yes; Gullicksen, yes; Bootz,
yes. 6 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
J. Dement moved to adjourn into Executive Session on imminent
and pending litigation, not to reconvene. Seconded by L. Kelly.
Voice vote, 6 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
