At 7:30 p.m, the Public Hearing was opened with roll call and
all members were present.
Planner Waldock reported on the Annexation Agreement purposed
for the Spangler property. This annexation involves 11.364 acres
and upon approval of ordinances associated with this annexation
agreement, the remaining 144.25 acres would be annexed at a future
date upon availability of sewer and water. The 11.364 acre track
would be B-3 located at the norwest corner of Renwick Road and
Route 59. Zoning far the future annexation area is divided into
7 land use parcels (as shown on the attached maps). Of these,
a 2.5 acre area (Parcel B) is proposed for I-1 Light Industrial
zoning to accommodate an existing trucking operation; a 300' deep
site (Parcel E) B-3, Business District is provided along Route
30; the remaining acreage is to be zoned Residence A,
Single-Family Residential. The Plan Commission recommends
approval of the annexation of 11,364 acres and establishment of
B-3 Business zoning. It is further recommended that approval
of the Pre-Annexation Agreement associated with this request with
future zoning as proposed also be granted.
Planner Waldock reported on the Annexation Agreement purposed
far the Waite property. This annexation involves 17.$90 acres
located on the southwest career of the intersection of Renwick
Road and Route 59 and a B-3 zoning and upon approval of ordinances
associated with this annexation, the remaining 54.36 acres would
be annexed at a future date depending an the availability of sewer
and water. The Plan Commission recommends approval of annexation
of 17.89 acres of the Waite property with B-3, Business District
zoning on the site. It is further recommended that approval of
the pre-annexation agreement for the remnant area (approximately
54.36 acres) with future establishment of Residence A,
Single-Family zoning over the site also be granted.

Attorney Selfridge, representing bath the Spangler and Waite
property spoke on behalf the' clients and commended the Village
Board on their foresight in seeing the positive need for this
annexation and Plainfield growth and planning. This will go a
long way in establishing a corridor for Plainfield. He stated,
by ha.s calculations, this Board has brought into the Village
jurisdiction approximately 230 acres tonight. Mayor Latta thanked
Attorney Selfridge and stated she feels this shows Plainfield
is willing to progress and it also helps to protect our boundaries
and we appreciate the cooperation from the property owners.
D. Gullicksen moved to adjourn the Public Hearing. Seconded by
J. Dement. Voice vote. 6 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
