The Board of Public Works of the City of iichmond, Indiana,
met in regular sesei on at the office of said Board on Mond
January 3rd, 1916, ah
t 9 o clock A. :. All the members of said
Board being present, Messrs, Bavis, Marlatt and McMinn.
The following proceedings were had, to -wit:.
The Board unanimously adopted plans & specifications for the
purchase of 2000 K.W. Turbine Generator, Condenser etc., neces_
sary for the installing of a new Unit in the City's Light Plant,
and direct the Clerk to advertise for bids for same to be recr;ra
on January 20 th , 1916, at 10 O' cl ock A. Li. Also directed the
Clerk to prepare an ordinance requesting an appropriation of
)32,000.(`0 for purchase and installation of the above.
John L. Rupe, Atty., for Starr Piano Co., together with i:r. C,
Gennett appears before the Board in reference to the city light
plant encroaching on their water rights, the matter was left i
the hand of the City Atty., and Mr. :iupe, for Investigation and
report just what their water rights are.

The Board of Public Works of the City oY Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session at the ofilce of said Board, Thursday
January 6th, 1916, at 9 o clock A. L" All the members of Bald
Board being present, Messrs, Bavie, Marlatt and McMinn.
The following proceedings were had, to -wit: -
Proposals to repair the railing and poste on north side of
Doran Bridge, were received as follows, to -wit:-
chase E. Arrowenith �k27.50, Jacob Kern 432.00 Those Turner
Son . 65.00, the bid of Chas, F. Arro:smith being the lowest
the contract was so awarded,
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement :iesolutio❑ 110.482-1916,
for the construction of a cement roadway in the alley between
North llth & 12th Street, from North "B" to "D" Street.
The City Civil Eneineer, was directed to prepare plans & speci
ficutione for paving with either Concrete -Brick -Asphalt or Crec-
acted '400den Block an follows to -wit: -
North 5th Street, from North "A" to "ll" Street.
Ft -Wayne Ave, from Main to North "D" Street, with necessary curb.
adjourn, North 3rd Street, from Main to North "D" Street.
Richmond Ave, from Dorah Bridge to West 6th Street.
South 7th Street , also sewer, from Lain to South "A" Street.
South 9th Street, from Main to South "A" Street.
The City Civil Eneineer, was granted permission to have the
entrance to auto shed in rear of City Bldg, widened.
Claims to the amount of $511.78 were allowed & ordered laid.
The Board then adjourned•
