4:00PM on the Thursday prior to the next scheduled Council meeting. If this form is received after the
deadline,the item will be listed on the next scheduled agenda.
Council Meeting Date for Request: April 9, 2015
Item: Derelict Structures on the Beach Task Order 2014-01 (Rev. 1): Revised Task Order is to address not only
permitting but also tasks necessary to Solicit Cost Proposals and facilitate that process. Due to the unknowns
regarding the extent and location of all structures, normal design documents cannot be formulated. Hence Olson
and Associates propose an RFP process similar to that attempted in 2008. One exception here is the availability
of time since construction cannot take place until after 31 August 2015.This gives Olson and Associates the
time they didn't have in 08 to more widely solicit and advertise for contractors, hold an on-island meeting etc.
Accordingly, contractors will be given substantially more time to determine how to approach the project.
Comment: On first agenda due to timing issues. Beach Task Force had questions/concerns about the scope of
work. Beach Engineer has proved additional information for this agenda request.
