7:29 p.m. President Peterson called the Public Hearing to order.
All members were present.
DISCUSSION - 1995-1996 TAX LEVY HEARING
Staff has proposed a 1994 Tax Levy of $803,024.00 or a 10.72%
increase aver the 1993 tax extension. Said extension consists of
two components, the first being the taxes levied for the operation
of the Village which anticipates a 16.97% increase and the other
element is taxes levied far debt service which anticipates a 3.3°s
decrease. Combining these two elements results in a total increase
of 10.72% in the 1994 tax extension in relation to 1993. Staff is
proposing a 1994 levy that would result in an overall tax rate of
77.22 cents per $100 of equalized value. This represents
approximately a 6.5 or 7% decrease in the rate per $100 of
equalized assessed value aver the 1993 rate.
This ordinance will be up for adoption on December 19, 1994 our
next regular Board Meeting.
J. Dement moved to adjourn the Public Hearing. Seconded by M.
Lambert. Voice vote. 5 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
