The Beard of Public Works of the City of Richmond Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board, iionday February 28th, 1916, at 9 o cicck A, M. All the members of Bald Board being present, Meagre. Bavis, Yarlatt and McMinn. The following proceedings were had, to -wit:- A petition was presented for the improvement of Southwest 9th Street, from National t oantorSouthwe8on"A" Street. Boardment sidewalks, curb & gu y• cide to visit the street, as to the advisability of making Improvement at its present wi dth . The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 496- 1916, for the improvement of South "B" Street, from South 16th to 21st Street, by constructing 6' cement sidewalks, & curb & Futter on both sides, except where cement construction already exi ate • The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 497- 1916, for the construction of sewer from West 7th to 5th Ste and north & south in the alley between West 6th & 7th Street, at Kinsey Street. (City to pay 20% of cost ). The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 113- 1916, for the opening of Whitewater Boulevard from the Nation- al Road to Southwest "E" Street. The Board approved the contract & bond ode Schneider Bros, contractors under Improvement Resolution No. 483-1916. Bevis All said ®bera ofuBa ld The following proceedings were Weds kerlatt and McMinn. to -wit. - A petition was presented for the construction of cement with curbs on east side of North 8th Street, from Me1n e7dewal to North CA" Street, except where cement construction already eziete, which was referred to City Engineer for plans etc, A letter signed by Clarence Gennett, Secy., of The Genaett Theatre company, praying for ornamental lights on South side of North "A" Street, from 8th to 9th Street, with agreement to stand the total expense of said lighting system on said block, was read and on motion ordered placed on file, until such time as a lighting syste is ordered on North Sth Street from Main to "A" Street. The Board approved the contract & bond of The Westinghouse Elec- tric & Mfg., Co•, in the matter of purchase & installation of 4200 sq-ft, Condenser equipment for city light plant. The Board approved a plat laid out by Edwin G. Zemper, being a Sub -Div. of Lots 29-30 & 31 in D. C.
