(Called Sesaion) The Board of Public Works of the City of isi chmond , Indiana, met in special session at the office of said Board on Tuesday march 28th1916, at 10 o'clock A, ,.'. All the members of said Board being, present, Wessrs, Bahad, torwit- tand YCYInn, The following proceedings were A petition signed by IS resident fret holders, whose property abuts on North 5th Street, from North "A" to "D" Street, was received, requesting that said street be improved as provided therefor under Improvement itesolution No. 486-19168 by paving the roadway between the points named, with Concrete. The City Civil Engineer, reported in the matter of the Improve- ment of North 5th Street, under Improvement Resolution No, 486- 1916, that 13 out of 21 resident free holders whose property abuts upon said proposed improvement have signed the petition for said paving of said street with Concrete, and that being a majority of such free holders, the prayer of said petitioners was on motion of Lire kchiinn, granted, and the contract for said raving was awarded to Harding, Slattery and Buchannan, for said improvement by paving the roadway with Concrete, as petitioned for at the price named in bid submitted therefore on March 16th, 1916. at $1.48 per square ya rd . A petition sieved by 6 resident property owners, whose prt'PPrty abuts on South 9th Street between Main & South "A" Street, was received, requesting that said street be improved as pro- vided for under Improvement itesolution Noe 489-1916, by ravinF the roadway between the points named wi th Trinidad Asphalt. A petition was presented for improvement of Southwest 7rd Street, from Nutional koad to Southviest "E" Street, by constructing cen- ent curb & (putter on both sides of street; Also to macadamize the street wi th bituminous binder, hinder to be paid for by the property owners, referred to Engineer for plans, etc., The Board inntruct the Engineer, to make an estimate an to the cost of gradi ng let a] ley east of South 13th Street at South "H" Street . The Board meets to hear all persons interested, or whose property is affected by the construction of cement sidewalks on east side of North 8th Street, from Bain to North "A" Street except where already ?_aid, under Improvement itesolution No. 498-1916. After hearing all persons interested who appeared, the '.card decide that the benefits to prorerty liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of same as estimated by the City Civil Bneineer and thereupon take final action on said resolution the Fame being confirmed without modification. the Board deci de not to advertise for bids immddiately on account Of proposed lighting system. The Board meets to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected by the improvement of the alley between South loth & llth Street by constructing a cement roadway, from South "C" to "b" street under Improvement itesolution No, WJ 1916.
