ring. All Board members present.
Planner Durbin spoke to the Public and Board of Trustees regarding
the Petition for Annexation for Centennial Farm, Northwest corner
of the intersection of Renwick Road and Howard Avenue. The Village
approved an annexation agreement with the Muellers in January of
1989 which provided for B-3 zoning on that portion of the property
that was within 300 feet of U.S. Route 30. The remainder of the
property was zoned R-1. On x'ecent discussions, the applicants have
discussed the proposed development of a bowling center on the
Centennial Farm with the Village Board. The bowling center was
proposed for the 300 foot deep portion of the property zoned B-3.
The applicant has submitted applications for special use approval,
site plan review, and a petition far annexation along with a
revised annexation agreement. The proposed annexation agreement is
generally consistent with previous discussions with Staff and the
Board. The applicants have worked extensively with Staff to
develop a proposal that would meet the goals of the Village as well
as those of the will County Forest Preserve. The annexation
agreement, while requiring some revisions, substantially
incorporated the issues and considerations that have been
discussed.
Attorney Tom Willson, representing applicants, Mr. Dave Mueller and
Mr. and Mrs. Mueller and Mrs. Seneca, addressed the issues involved
with the Annexation Agreement.
There were public comments from a number of Plainfield Acres
residents with various concerns regarding a bowling alley proposed
to be built off Route 30 on the Mueller's Centennial Farm. List is
