Short Title:
A resolution of the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka directing the City Manager to explore financing
options to replace the A/C Chiller units servicing City Hall
Staff Summary:
The Air Conditioner Chiller System that services the City Hall has remained in a malfunctioning state for an
extended period and is expected to completely fail at any given time. Without an efficient and reliable air
conditioning system, daily City operations may be hindered. The estimated cost for this project is $1.5 million,
which requires various steps to secure funding with a financial institution. The City Manager is seeking
approval to explore financing options to replace the current Air Conditioner Chiller System to ensure the
Municipal Complex can continue to service the residents seamlessly.
