HomeMy Public PortalAbout02-19-2013 PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT FEBRUARY 19, 2013 The Board of Directors for Richmond Power & Light Plant met in regular session at 7 p.m. February 19, 2013in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Wissel presided. ROLL CALL: Present were: Howard "Jack" Elstro, Kelley Cruse-Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Don Winget, Misty Hollis, Ron Oler and Phil Quinn. Absent was Larry Parker. Also present were: James French, General Manager; Walt Chidester, City Attorney; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk; Media and Sergeant-at-Arms. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Ms. Hollis moved to approve the minutes of the meeting held February 4, 2013, supported by Mr. Miller. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Mr. Winget moved to approve the following bills for payment, supported by Ms. Hollis. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion passed. Bills Already Paid: Payroll and Deductions 303,952.96 Transfers from Cash Operating to: Miscellaneous Prepaid Invoices 186,421.58 Telecom. Div. Misc. Pre Paid Invoices: 59,509.89 EFT/Direct Deposit of Payroll: 170,721.50 EFT Transfers: 4,566,342.87 Total Bills Not Paid: 86.600.60 Grand Total: $5,032,106.49 STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE: None OLD BUSINESS: •. AWARD BID FOR A 2013 SEDAN FOR THE GENERAL MANAGER: Mr. French recommended purchasing a Ford Taurus from Wetzel Ford in the amount of Thirty Six Thousand Five Hundred Fifty Six Dollars and zero cents ($36,556.00). Mr. Quinn moved to accept this recommendation, supported by Mr., Winget. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. NEW BUSINESS: • RESOLUTION NO.2-2013: This Resolution would appoint Mr. French as an Indiana Municipal Power Agency Commissioner replacing Mr. Parker. Mr. Miller moved to approve, supported by Mr.Winget. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER: • Mr. French met with IMPA to familiarize himself with the relationship of IMPA and RP&L. Will be meeting with this again and will report on his findings.
