The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday April 27th, 19168 at 9 o'clock A. 1.5. present Meeers, Bavis, Yarlatt & McMinn. All the members of Bald Board being present. The following proceedings were had, to -wit: - A remonstrance signed by 7 resident owners of property abutting on the alley between Boyer & hidge Street, from Grant to School Street, remonstrating against the improvement of said alley ere provided under improvement iteBolution no. 503-19169 was filed and the Engineer reported that there were 14 owners re. siding on Bald alley, the Board overruled the remonstrance, 4 confd rm the resoluti on as modi fi ed and confi rmed on April Uth, 1916, and directed the Clerk to advertise for bids on said im- provement. A petition was presented for the vacation of the let alley north of Borth "A" Street, from 6th to 7th Street, taien under advisement. The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution no. 115- 19162 to open and extend South "Go' Street, from South 5th Street to the West Corporation Line. (for description see resolution) In matter of contract & bond of The Andrews Asphalt Paving Co, in matter of Richmond Avenue improvement under Improvement Resolution No. 485-1916. The City attorney advised the board not to approve said bond, until he had made an investigation of the company, and the certificate granting power of attornoy to Chas. G. Spindler was received, and the Clerk was directed to so advise Bald The Andrews asphalt Paving Company• The Sup ,too of Light Plant was directed to advertise in the Electrical �7orld, machinery of the plant which is for sale. The Board directed the Clerk to order 1 car of Metropolitan Standard Brick, for making repairs on Eiain Street. The Clerk was directed to notify the Street C_r Co, in making repAire to brick streets, they must use brick to match the ad- Jacent bricks.
