The Board of Public Works of the City of iichmond, Indiana, met
in re.ular session at the office of said Board Monday !,lay 8th
1916, at 9 o'clock AllMessrs, Buvds, Marlatt & McMinn, present,
All the members of Board being present, the following proceed.
Inge sere had, to -wit: -
The Board meets to hear persona interested or whose property is
affected by constructing a cerient roadway in the alley between
South 3rd & 4th Street, from South "A" to "B" Street, under im-
provement hesolution No. 507-7916. After hearing all persons in-
terested who appeared, the Board decides that the benefits to
property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal
to the cost of same as estimated by the City Civil Engineer,and
thereulo❑ take final action on said resolution, the same being
confirmed without modification,
The Board meets to hear all persons interested, or whose property
is affected by constructing cement curb & putter on both aides
of North "D" St, from 8th to 9th St, except where already laid,
under Improvement iesolution No. 506-1916. No one appearing or
remonstrating, the Board decide that the benefits to property
liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the
cost of same as estimated by the City Civil Engineer, and there-
upon take final action on said resolution, the same being con-
firmed without modification.
The Board meets to hear all persons interested or whose property
is affected by the construction of a sewer in the alley between
South 13th & 14th St, from South "G" St, to the south line of
J.'B.Salter's, addition, under Improvement Resolution No. 509-
1916. No one appearing or remonstrating, the Board decides that
the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said imprp700
ments are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City
Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolu-
tion the same being confirmed without modi fi cat ion.
Upon recommendation of the City Civil Engineer, the Finance

Department was directed to pay the Richmond Electric C°'• North
of the $54.20 retained on installing ornamental lights on
9th St,
The City Civil Engineer, filed with the Board his estimate for
the improvement of South loth St, b pavingunder 1mPr0vemen

Concrete; �1,f0 per sq-yrd,Asphalt ,$1.95 sq-yrd. Wood Block
or to pave with the most expensive which is wood block,

The Board directed Yr. I. Be Arnold, who Is contemplating erectin-
a bu ildi ng at South 7th & "G" Street, to keep back from South
"G" Street at least 8 feet, in order that the building be not
molested in widening of South "G" Street.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement !resolution No. 514-
19161 for the const ructi on of cement roadway In the alley be-
tween North loth & llth Street, from North "C" to "D" Street.
The Board on motion order contractor's certificate issued to
F.E.Slick for 65% of work done under Improvement nesolutio❑
446-19150 42,925.00.
The Street Commies! oner was directed to grade Linden Ave, fror
Bunt St, to railroad, before having gravel placed.
The Board -received bide for painting hose houses 1-5-4 & 5, as
fall owe, to -wit:-
