Monday May 15th, 1916,
The Beard of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday May 15th,
1916, at 9 o'clock A.", Present, iiesera, Bavis, Marlatt & Etc1.'inn,
All the members being present the following proceedings Were
had , to -w it : -
In matter of petitions filed for paving the roadway of South 17th
Street, South 18th Street, and Reeveston Road, the Engineer %as
directed to prepikre plans, and report the city's cost on said
improvements, (Reeveston Streets).
A petition was presented for improving North 17th Street, from
North ,F" to "J" Street, by constructing curb, gutter, sidewalks
and grading & graveling the roadway between the points named.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 515.1916,
for constructing cement curb,gutter, & sidewalks on both sides of
street, and grading & graveling the roadway North 17th Street,
from North "F" to "J" Street.
The Board approved the contract & bond .of Jas. S. Logan, contract-
or for painting hose houses.
The matter of shortage of meters, transformers etc., in the sum
of 41368.40, in the purchase of Electric plant of Richd. Light,
Heat & Power op., was on motion referred to City Attorney., for
Investigation and report.
Pursuant to postponement to this date, the Board meets to hear
all persons primarily asces<ed in the matter of widening the let
alley south of West Main Street, from SW. 4th St, west, as pro-
vided for by Dec&dratory Resolution No, 114-1916, The Board de-
cide on account of dog in said alley, the same should not be
widened, and on moti on rescind said resoluti on.
Upon the payment of y10.00, and signing proper agreements. the
Board grant permission to Mrs, Gregp„ to tap the sewer across
Harris Street at the lst alley south of School Street, to connect
Lot No, 8, Official Map, City of Richmond.
The City Civil Engineer was directed to have hill side brick
laid on North 5th Street hill instead of cement , the additional
cost to be charged to the City of Richmond Indiana, as the Board
deem cement construction on this part of work would be dangerous*

said Fmnk Williams, the same was referred to City Attorney to
draw up transfer.
The City Engineer reported in the matter of remonstrance filed
against improvement SW.3rd St from Rational Road to SW* "Ell St,
that there are 42 resident owners £0 of whom have signed the
remonstrance.

The Board received bide for the improvement of Soethwest 9th
St, from National Road to Southwest "A" Street, by constructing
cement curb, gutter, 5' sidewalk both aides, grading, graveling
& paving roadway wi th either Concrete-Bitumdnone Macadam-Bitumd.

The Board thereupon designate that said street, be paved
with Concrete.
The Board received bids for the construction of cement roadway
in the alley between Boyer & Ridge Street, from School to Grant
Street under Improvement Resolution No. 505-1916, as follows: -

The bid of Daniel G. Burkhardt, being the lowest and within
the estimate of the Cit; Civil EhFineer, the contract was awarded
to said Daniel G. Burkhardt.
