The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday August zlst, 1916, at 9 o'clock A. M. All the members being present, Messrs, Bavis, Marlatt and IdIc64inn. The following proceedings were hud, to -wit: - The Board meets to hear all persons, interested, or whose proper. ty is affected by Improvement Resolution No. 5P5-191G, provid- ing for the constructs on of a 10 foot cement sidewalk on west side of North 12th Street, from North "J" Street to North 12th Street bridge. After hearing all persons interested who appear. ed, the Board decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon take final action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modification. The Board directed F. E. Slick, contractor for sewer & disposal plant 4*1^ of National Road, to construct a fence around the plant at a cost of $80.006 on motion the Board decide to meet in special sdssion Saturday September 2nd , 1916, at 9 o'clock A. hi. The Board directed the Finance Department to pay to Mather Be Kelsey a36.92, the 5p reserve retained on Improvement Resolu- tion No. 468-1915. The Clerk reported that the Common Council passed the ordinance authorizing the improvement the alley between South loth & ilth Street, from South "C" to "E" Street, under Improvement Resolut- ion Noe 522-1916. The Board ordered the Clerk to advertise for bids for concrete roadway in said alley. The Board arproved the contract & bond of Schneider Bros., con- tractors under Improvement hesolution No. 523-1916. The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under Improvement Resolution No. 446-1915, for sewer in terri- tory west of St7.7th St. between Main St, & national goad, the Board ac cepted the same and ordered assessment roll prepared. The City Civil Engineer, reported the completion of cement road- waY 2Oft. wide in the alley between South 8th & 9th Street, frcr.. 1outh ,F" to "H" Street under Improvement Resolution no. 500- 91* The Board accepted the same and ordered assessment roll Prepared.
