HomeMy Public PortalAbout10-01-2012 PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT OCTOBER 1, 2012 Te Board of Directors for Richmond Power & Light Plant met in regular session at 7 p.m. 2012 in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Wissel presided. ROLL CALL: Present were: Howard "Jack" Elstro, Kelley Cruse-Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Don Winget, Larry Parker, Misty Hollis, Ron Oler and Phil Quinn. Also present were: Kerry Vincent, General Manager; Walt Chidester, City Attorney; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk; Russell Davis; Gregg Duke, Energy Delivery Director; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Ms. Hollis moved to approve the minutes of the meeting held September 17, 2012, supported by Mr. Parker. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Mr. Parker moved to approve the following bills for payment, supported by Ms. Hollis. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. Bills Already Paid: Payroll and Deductions 302,920.80 Transfers from Cash Operating to: Miscellaneous Prepaid Invoices 232,911.10 Telecom. Div. Misc. Pre Paid Invoices: 85,531.67 EFT/Direct Deposit of Payroll: 174,386.42 EFT Transfers: 598,478.93 Total Bills Not Paid: _ 166,514.04 Grand Total: $1,209,970.12 111 STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE: None OLD BUSINESS: • CULTURE COMPLIANCE PRESENTATION: Mr. Duke reviewed the Culture Compliance Plan to be presented to the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). Mr. Quinn moved to approve as presented, supported by Mr. Parker. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion passed. NEW BUSINESS: None REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER: • The Whitewater Valley tests are complete. The margins of error were very low. • The roof over the turbine building is sturdy enough to withstand another winter with temporary patching. This will allow time to develop a good bid package. • Parts have been ordered to repair the street lights at South 5th and "E" Streets. Sim Hodgin repairs are too costly to complete at this time. • The schedule to install the fuel tanks stands at the end of October. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: None ADJOURNMENT: .
