FOR RICHMOND POWER& LIGHT
MAY 7, 2012
The Board of Directors for Richmond Power& Light Plant met in regular session at 7 p.m. May 7, 2012 in the
Council Chambers in the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Wissel presided.
ROLL CALL:
Present were: Howard "Jack" Elstro, Kelley Cruse-Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Don Winget, Larry
Parker, Misty Hollis, Ron Oler and Phil Quinn.
Also present were: Kerry Vincent, Interim General Manager; Walt Chidester, City Attorney; Karen Chasteen,
City Clerk.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Mr. Parker moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held April 16, Executive Session and Regular
meeting held April 30,2012, supported by Mr. Winget. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS:
Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Mr. Parker moved to approve the following bills for payment,
supported by Ms. Hollis. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion passed.
Bills Already Paid:
Payroll and Deductions $ 622,667.55
Transfers from Cash Operating to:
Miscellaneous Prepaid Invoices 305,579.06
Telecom. Div. Misc. Pre Paid Invoices: 98,984.31
EFT/Direct Deposit of Payroll: 357,018.80
EFT Transfers: 622,130.95
Total Bills Not Paid: 238,744.93

STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE: None
OLD BUSINESS: Three candidates for the position of General Manager will be interviewed May 9 and 11.
NEW BUSINESS:
■ FARM LEASE: Two bids were received:
Michael Berger(8 months)-$2,800.00
Johnson Family Farms (8 months)-$4,788.00
Mr. Winget moyed to award the bid to Johnson Family Farms as recommended by Mr. Gus Duke,
supported by Ms. Hollis. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion passed.
REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER:
• RP&L was the recipient of the Reliable Public Power Provider award at the recent APPA meeting
• RP&L Linemen were awarded top honors at the Lineman Rodeo
