The following proceedings v,ere had, to -wit; - The City Civil };ngineer, relorted the completion of contract under Improvement :.evolution No, 5Ct-1916, for the improvement of Southwest 9th Street, from a+utional Road to Southv-est "A" St by constructing cement cu rb , gutters , si dewal ks and Concrete road- way, the Board accepted the same and ordered assessment roll prepared. The Board al Iroved a priuuary assessment roll in matter of con- struction of cement curb & gutters on both sides of South I'th Street, from South "B" to "H" Street, under Improvement Resolut- ion No• 491-19160 The Board approved a primary assessment roll in matter of con- struction of sewer in the alley betveen South l."th & 14th Street, from South "G" Street to scuth line of J.'u.Salter's, Addition, under Improvement Resolution No. 509-1916, The Board meets to hear remonstrances, if any, of persons pri- marily assessed on account of paving the roudwety of South 9th Street wi th Asphalt, from ;vain to South "A" Street, under Im- provement Lea01ution No. 469-1916, No one appearing or remon- strating, the Board approved a final assessment roll, confirm- ing in all things the original assessment roll as heretofore approved and now direct the same be transmitted fcrthwdth to the Department of Finance. The City Attorney, reported in the matter of claims of Alice T. Ranks, as to damages in the ;natter of the city having construct- ed a cement roadway in the alley between Boyer & Ridge damaging her property on Ridge Street at Grant Street, also in matter of claim of Frank Scheibler, in matter of pipes in ground at prorer- ty condemned by City in opening South "G" Street, re; orted the City had no legal right to pay either of these claimse on motion the report of the City Attorney was accepted. City Controller, McMahan reported that the Stolle's, refused to Pay the assessment against them in the matter of benefits assess- ed the their property, in oreni of South "G" Street the matter was on mot] on referred to City Attorney, for collects on. The Street Commiesioner was directed to repair the intersection at North fad & "A" Streets.
