Monday December 18th, 1916.
The beard of Public "corks of the City of iichmond. Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday
December 16th, 1916, at 9 O'clock A. M. All the members of
said Board Messrs, Bavis, Marlatt and McMinn being present.
The following proceedings were had, to -wit; -
The Board request�City Attorney to secure a written state-
ment or ruling from the Public Service Commission of Indiana,
giving some assurLnce as to the interpretation to be placed
on "Meter charge" as charged by the Richmond City Water Works.
The Board recommend that the Common Council of this City,
present a retition or resolution to the next session of the
Indiana Legisleture, requesting that the "Workmen's Compen-
sation Act".be amended to include Policeand firemen; and
that the same be made retroactive if possible, as of date of
September let, 1915; Also recommend that the salary of Chief
Engineer of the 11.E.1.& P.F. be made $150.00 per month.
In matter of an Electric sign to be placed in front of M.E.
L. & P.P. Office, the Board deemed it would be indiscreet
to install the same at this time, on account of bonds which
become due in August, 1917,
