HomeMy Public PortalAbout09-06-2011 PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT SEPTEMBER 6, 2011 The Board of Directors for Richmond Power & Light Plant met in regular session at 7 p.m. September 6, 2011 in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Wissel presided. ROLL CALL: Present were: Howard "Jack" Elstro, Kelley Cruse-Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Bing Welch, Larry Parker, Diana Pappin, Bob Goodwin and Phil Quinn. Also present were: Walt Chidester, City Attorney; Steve Saum, General Manager and Karen Chasteen, City Clerk. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Mr. Miller moved to amend the presented minutes to reflect Sue Roberson as Director of Human Resources, supported by Ms. Pappin. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. Mr. Parker moved to approve the minutes as amended of the meeting held August 19, 2011 supported by Mr. Welch. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Ms. Pappin moved to approve the following bills for payment, supported by Mr. Goodwin. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. Payroll: $ 650,777.25 Miscellaneous Pre Paid Invoices: $1,130,482.68 Telecom. Div. Misc. Pre Paid Invoices: $ 39,076.35 Total Prepaid Invoices: $1,820,336.28 Less EFT/Direct Deposit of Payroll: $ 259,403.76 Total Prepaid Invoices: $1,560,932.52 Total EFT Transfers: $3,021,067.25 Total Prepaids plus EFT Transfers: $4,581,999.77 Total Bills Not Paid: $ 372,166.23 Grand Total: $4,954,166.00 STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE: None OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: None REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER: • Proposed 2012 Budget meeting dates were distributed to Board • Stack generation tests have been completed • Unit 1 is generating; Unit 2 is generating occasionally due to milder weather • Storeroom foundation is complete—construction is progressing nicely • RP&L performed well at the statewide Lineman Rodeo MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business and a motion duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
