AS BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT
November 5, 2009
The Board of Directors of Richmond Power and Light met Thursday,November 5, 2009
in the Auditorium at the Service Building. Chairperson Philip Quinn called the meeting to order
at 6:00 p.m. Member's present was Clayton Miller, Bruce Wissel, Larry Parker, Diana Pappin,
Bing Welch, Bob Goodwin and Chairman Quinn. Jack Elstro and Kelley Cruse-Nicholson were
absent. Attending from Richmond Power and Light were, Randy Baker, Susan Williams, Rich
Cody, Gregg Duke, Bob Crye, Sandra Morris, and General Manager Steve Saum.
1. Presentation of the Parallax and Richmond Power and Light 2010 Expense budget,
2010, 2011, and 2012 Capital budgets.
After presenting the budgets the Board of Directors of Richmond Power and Light
requested the staff reduce the over-all travel budget and the budget of the Energy Services
department.
It was also requested of the Board to delay the remodel of the south offices, restrooms,
and south halls until 2011 due to an architectural study scheduled for 2010.
Office furniture, tools and other expenses under $10,000 are to be removed in lieu of
expanded authority given to management personnel. The software upgrades in the IS budget will
be reduced by $100,000.
General Manager Steve Saum told the Board of Directors that after making these
revisions, he plans to place budget approvals on the November 16, 2009 Agenda for Board
approval.
With no further business to discuss Chairperson Philip Quinn adjourned the
meeting at 9:26 p.m. Tapes of this Board meeting are on file.
