Town Manager Dunham sta te d tha t the Town had advertise d this item to be he ard but the applicant is amending the application. He added that since the Town had already adve rtised th e item, it was necessary to have it re cognized, but were asking to have the ite m deferred to the January 2021 meeting so that the Town didn't have to re -advertise. Vice Chairman Murphy made a motion to defer the application submitted by Cary Glickstein, Inc. to the January 28, 2021 meeting. Propos ed Am endments to Gulf Stream Compreh en siv e Plan 1. To addr ess state -mandated sea lev el ch ange requir em ents. Town Manager Dunham explained that all cities and towns hav e a Comprehensive Plan and one of th e el em ents in thos e plans are the Coastal Management Element. He added that in 2015 the Florida Legislatu re am end ed th e requirements to be in cluded in that element to plan for and address prin cipal str at egies and engineering solutions that reduce t he risk of flood in coastal area s. He referred to th e memo sent by the Town's planner, Marty Minor, from Urban Design Studio, for the proposed chang es . 2. Town Clerk Taylor pointed out that they already had the right to go door to door. B oard M ember R oac h stated that a swatch of artificial grass had been put onto resident's driveways from a company s oliciting busin ess. Chairman Smith asked if the Town should write or c all the company to let them know it was prohibited in G ulf Stream. Assistant Town Attorney Naz zaro noted that a business nee de d approval from the Town before soliciting. Board Member Roach stated he would drop the swatch off to the Town Manage r. Board M ember Smith asked if she c ould come in and go over the Glicks te in applicatio n be fore the January meeting to unders tand it more thoroughly.
