Esill Estes of Hornblower and 1~eeks, fiscal acent for the City advised that the election could be held on I~.ay 29, 1.971 with absentE:e voting to start i•iay 13, 1971 and run through I•_ay 25, 1971. :otion made by Klein, second by Gillard to :pass Grdinance "o. 325 calling bond election for I•.ay ?9, 1971 carryinc a proposition for 150, 000.00 water ir~proven,ent bonds and $700, OUG.00 for se~~aer ir:.provem.ent bonds, a co:~y made a part of these rinutes, Unanir.;ously approved. Councilman Howerton said the Council would need a break- gown to specifically explain what the $150,000.00 water improvements were. THEREFOP.E , BE I'1' OP~DAINEI) BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEnAS: • 1. That an election shall be held on May 29, 1971, in said City at the follotiaing designated polling place: City Ha11 3201 Diana Drive Richland Hills, Texas. Said City shall constitute a single election prec~_nct for said election, and the following election officers are hereby appoint- ed to hold said election: Presiding JU.dge: Mr. H. S. Fatherree, Alternate Presiding Judge: Mrs. H. S. Fatherree. The Presiding Judge shall appoint not mare than three qualified election clerks to serve and assist in conducting said election; provided that if the Presiding Judge named above actually serves as expected, the Alternate Presiding Judge shall be one of such clerks. • By approving and signing this Ordinance the Mayor of said City officially confirms his appointment of the aforesaid election officers to serve at said election; and by passing this Ordinance the City Council of said City approves and con- curs in the appointment of the aforesaid election officers. _ ~ 2. PROPOSITION N0, 2 Shall the City Couizcil of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, be authorized to issue the bonds of said City, in one or more series or issues, in the aggre- gate principal amount of $700,000, with the bonds of each such series ar issue, respectively, to mature serially within not to exceed forty years from their date, and to be sold at such prices and bear interest at such rates as shall be determined within the discre- tion of the-City Council, for the purpose of purchasing, improving and extending a Sewer System for said City, with said bonds to be secured by and payable from a lien on and pledge of the Net Revenues of said City's Waterworks and Sewer System? 3. That the official ballots for said election shall be prepared in accordance with the Texas Election Code so as to permit the electors to vote "FOR" or "AGAINST" the afor_esai.d PROPOSITIONS, which shall be set forth in substantially the following form: PROPOSITION N0. 1 FOR ) THE ISSUANCE OF $150,000 WATERWORKS SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS AGAINST ) PROPOSITION NOo 2 FOR ) THE ISSUANCE OF $700,000 SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS AGAINST ) 4.
