HomeMy Public PortalAbout09-05-2006 PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A BOARD IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT PLANT TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2006 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Board in charge of the operations of the Richmond Power & Light Plant met in regular session at 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2006 in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Parker presided. ROLL CALL: Present were: Howard "Jack" Elstro, Etta Lundy, Bruce Wissel, Karl Sharp, Bing Welch, Larry Parker,Al Glover, Diana Pappin and Gil Klose. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Board member Wissel moved to approve the minutes of the meeting held August 21, 2006. Board member Welch seconded. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Board member Pappin moved to approve the following bills for payment with a second by Board member Klose. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.:. Bills Already Paid: Payroll and Deductions 293,555.90 Transfers from Cash Operating to: Miscellaneous Prepaid Invoices 211,771.79 Telecom. Div. Misc. Pre Paid Invoices: 71,000.63 Total Prepaid Invoices: 576,328.32 Total EFT/Direct Deposit of Payroll: (107,968.10) Total Prepaid Invoices: 468,360.22 Total EFT Transfers: 105,466.99 Total Prepaids plus EFT Transfers: 573,827.21 Total Bills Not Paid: 900,925.33 Grand Total: $1,474,752.54 STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE: None REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER: • Mr.Osburn thanked the Board for participating in a meeting regarding the Strategic Plan on August 30. • The Black & Veatch study regarding the Indiana Municipal Power Agency power supply contract is almost complete. • The JM substation transmission line is energized. • There has been a minor delay with the Highland Road substation due to inclement weather. The equipment is beginning to arrive on the job site. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
