CONTINUED FROM OCTOBER 7, 1996
TO MONDAY, OCTOBER 14, 1996
AT: PLAINFIELD VILLAGE HALL TIME: 7:00 P.M.

President Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll call was taken, J. Heimerdinger
was absent, all other Trustees were present, he then led the pledge to the flag.
#2 DISCUSSION ON REMODELING OF LAW ENFORCEMENT FACILITY.
A representative from Interplan Practice was present and talked about the plans. The Board was
in agreeance with Revised Renovation Scheme "B" Lower Level Floor Plan and First Floor
Plan, including an elevator and adding for a Sally Port, and if possible a Lunch Raom if it meets
regulations.
J. Dement moved to approve the drawings as rendered with the Lunch Room if it fits into the
regulations from the State, and move forward with the new Law Enforcement Center. We need
to get bid specifications made out. 3 weeks to have the plans and specifications completed and
out for bid. 2-3 week bid period with a week for the Board to award contract. Seconded by
Stalzer. Vote by roll call. Stalzer, yes; Smolich, yes; Rock, yes; Dement, yes; Peterson, yes.
5 yes, 1 absent. Motion carried.
J. Dement commented regarding the concrete, he would like to expedite that, make sure that a
local contractor will get a chance to bid on it, and get at least three or maybe four concrete bids.
#3 DISCUSSION -ARCHITECTURAL PROPOSAL FOR VILLAGE OFFICES
R. Smolich moved to table the above discussion to acquire more information about a potential
building for lease to be built in town, possible discussions with Administrator as far as temporary
set-up here at the Plaza.. Seconded by J. Dement. Vote by roll call. Stalzer, yes; Smolich, yes;
Rock, yes; Dement, yes. 4 yes, 1 absent, 0 no. Motion carried.
