HomeMy Public PortalAbout02-23-2023 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, IINDIANA, FEBRUARY 23, 2023 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Municipal 'Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson and Matt Evans. Absent was Emily Palmer. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City.Attorney; Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Sherrie Richey, Code Enforcement; Andy Buckler, Deputy Fire Chief; Derek Hill, Director of Code Enforcement; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Evans moved to approve the minutes of February 9, 2023, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for February 10, 2023 in the amount of Two Hundred Ninety Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty Eight Dollars and sixty eight Cents ($298,868.68), supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for February 17, 2023 in the amount of One Hundred Ninety Nine Thousand One Hundred Thirty Six Dollars and seven cents ($199,13607), supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for February 24, 2023 in the amount of Four Hundred Twelve Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy Eight Dollars and sixty two cents ($412,778.62), supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva .voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for February 24, 2023 in the amount of Eight Hundred Forty One Thousand Two Hundred One Dollars and thirty seven cents ($841,201.37), supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION - None Board of Works Minutes February 23, 2023 REQUESTS • HANDICAP SIGN RENEWALS 1111 Harris Street 613 South "C" Street Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. BID OPENINGS - None BID AWARDS - None CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 30-2023 — S&M HOME SOLUTIONS, LLC The City retains the Contractor to perform services in connection with the cleanup Of a. premises, 417 North 15th Street, previously deemed by the Richmond Unsafe Building Commission to be noncompliant and ordered to be sealed and cleaned up. Services shall include the sealing of unsecured doors and entrances, and the cleanup and removal of trash, debris, rubbish, junk, furniture strewn about the premises, and other materials as more specifically set forth in the Notice to Bidders. Not to exceed $680.40 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a 'vote viva voce, the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS • CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO CONTRACT NO. :180-2022— FOUST BROS Below is a list of unforeseen changes needed during the building of the new lire truck. Those changes are as follows: 2400n watt inverter w/two four gang receptacles Front 1..5" discharge Two (2) Whelen Pioneer mounted pole lights Federal Q2B Siren Zico 24" pull out step Shelf in Cl Compartment Not to exceed $15,075.00 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion. carried. ADDENDUM'S - None Board of Works Minutes February 23, 2023 RESOLUTIONS - None PETITIONS - None MISCELLANEOUS - None ADJOURNMENT After a motion was duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
