IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER& LIGHT PLANT
MONDAY, MAY 2, 2005
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Board in charge of the operations of
the Richmond Power & Light Plant met in regular session at 7 p.m. Monday, 2005 in the Council
Chambers in the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Welch presided.
ROLL CALL:
Present were: Howard "Jack" Elstro, Etta Lundy, Bruce Wissel, Karl Sharp, Bing Welch, Larry Parker, Al
Glover, Diana Pappin and Gil Klose.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Board member Parker moved to approve the minutes of the meeting held April 18, 2005. Board member
Sharp seconded. The motion carried with a unanimous voice vote.
APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS:
Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Board member Pappin moved to approve the following
bills for payment with a second by Board member Klose. The motion carried with a voice vote.
Bills Already Paid:
Payroll and Deductions 284,832.61
Transfers from Cash Operating to:
Miscellaneous Prepaid Invoices 188,935.89
Telecom. Div. Misc. Pre Paid Invoices: - 54,847.80
Total 528,616.30
Total EFT/Direct Deposit of Payroll: (99,045.27)
Total Prepaid Invoices: 429,571.03
Total EFT Transfers: 465,445.13
Total Prepaids plus EFT Transfers: 895,016.16
Total Bills Not Paid: 962.878.52
Grand Total: $1,857,894.68
REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER:
• Dennis Dixon, Power Delivery Manager, was honored recently at the 2005 APPA Conference.
He will preside over the 2006 Conference.
• The weather radar program which is run on Insight Cable channel 97 has been interrupted due to
a computer malfunction. The future of this service is being evaluated.
• RP&L has reached a settlement agreement with General Electric for repairs on the Whitewater
Transmission Line. Mr. Osburn felt the settlement is more than fair.
