Dear Mayor Buelterman,
On March 12,2015 the Environmental Protection Division's Coastal District Office conducted a
Comprehensive Evaluation Inspection(CEI)on the above referenced facrtty.The inspection was
conducted to monitor compliance with the Georgia Water Quality Control Act,the Roles and
Regulstiens for Water Quality Control,and the facility's LAS permit.During the inspection 1 was
accompanied by Mr.Stenle•Baardon,
Please find attached the inspection report for your review and f€es.No violations were observed •
during the Comprehensive Evaluation Inspection.The grounds and equipment of the Tybee
Island Water Pollution Central Plant were found to be well maintained.The diligence and
continued efforts of the City of Tybee Island in managing a quality,environmentally compliant
wastewater treatment plant is greatly appreciated.
The city's permit will expire on June 14,2015.A reiasuance application needs to be submitted to
Me Division no later than 180 days prior to the expiration per Part it 8.9,of the permit.

Summary-Work in Progress:
Water Line Installation
The contractor has completed installation of water line installation and services on Jones Avenue Punch
Id items have not been completed.Hwy SO water main has been completed.The contractor has begun
water line installation on Lewis Street.Approximately 30011 has been lad to date.
Force Main Installation
The contractor has completed installation of FM106.Direction boring work on FMS7 has been delayed until
April,
Comments&Recommendations:
1. The city is in the process of executing a change order with contractor to add approximately 2100
feet of 0"PVC forte man along Hwy 80.Approximately 1900 feet will require directional drilling.
COOT permits have been approved and plans and specs have been reviewed and approved by
ETD.
