RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF A FAIR
AND OPEN CONTRACT FOR ROOF REPAIRS — CARTERET LIBRARY
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has a need for professional services as a fair and
open contract pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 19:44A -20.5 et seq; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent has deterniined that the value of the contract can and
may /will exceed $17,500; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has, through a "Fair and Open" process, advertised on its website
for the receipt of proposals; and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret retained the services of Integrity Roofing, Inc.,
1385 Witherspoon Street, Rahway, NJ 07065, for the roof repairs to Carteret Library; and
WHEREAS, the above mentioned vendor completed and submitted all required
documentation; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret authorizes the Finance Department on behalf of the Mayor and Borough
Council to issue and execute a Purchase Order for the foregoing to the above vendor
through the Fair and Open Process, with funds certified available by the Chief Financial
Officer; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the CFO has been authorized to arrange to pay for
the foregoing in accordance with the terms of the purchase order in an amount not to
exceed $34,340.00. Acct. # 8 -01- 29- 390 -296 8-01 -29- 390 -298
