with all necessary wires,poles and appliances necessary and need-
ful to conduct the business of furnishing electric light,heat and
power to the inhabitants of the Town of Tybee,upon the con -
ditionnevertheless, that should said Company fail to
furnish electric light and power to the Town of Tybee and its in-
habitants at any time after July let 1927 for a period of six months
then this franchise and all rights thereunder shall be revocable at
the pleasure of the Mayor and Councilmen of the Town of Tybee.
Section 2 -- Be it further ordained that all ordinances and
parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance be and the same
are hereby repealed.

The regular meeting of Town Council was held to -day and was attended
by the Mayor and Councilmen Cann ,Horovitz,Espy,Walthour,Farr and Mr.
S.N.Harris.
Plans for an organization to educate the property owners to the
necessity of vtting in favor of the Electric Plant Bonds on April
12th and -also to getting them out to vote were discussed and Mr
•Harris who was asked to come before Council and give his views
and suggestions as to the best method to gci about this, suggedted
that a committee of ladies ,whether they were voters or not,be
gotten up to notify the property owners of the election for
bonds on April 12th and ascertain from them if they would be
abli to go to Tybee on that day and vote-- that this committee
appoint sub- committees *Lio in turn would get in touch with a
certain number of voters a::d find out from each voter just how
that voter was going to the isla.ndmby auto or train.
The Mayor asked what ladies were available,he was given a list
of the women voters by the Clerk,Mr Cain suggested that every
woman voter on this list be askedto assist in putting the election
over -- attention was called to the fact that the-road would be
closed on April 4th for a period of about :four we Mks but the
Mayor said that he w-uld handle with Court,;T Commissioners to
have them authorize the opening of it on April 12th, -- The
Mayor thanked Mr Harris and he eras excused.
The managers appointed to handle the election April 12th were
Messrs.John T,Coliins,J.A.Weiser and Johnson A.Byers.
Mr Horovitz suggested that to give more efficient" service in
the Police Department it would be a good idea to have telephones
that would connect directly to the jail, installed at vantage
points so that the Chief could keep in diet touch with his
officers at all times,and in the event an emergency should arise
he could dispatch the nearest officer to that point on very short
notice, the Mayor said that he would get in touch with the Southern
Bell Telephone Co and get an estimate as to the cost of these
installations with a view to having them installed for use during
the summer season.

jLreqiiebt to pave McKenzie street was again brolicrh+ up and the
opinion of Council was that just as quickly as the Town was .n
a position to do so this street would be paved.
A lease °permit the Savannah Electric & Power Co.,to occupy a
strip of land 60 x 60 feet in the Public Park for use as site
for the sub - station was read,but as it was necessary that an
amendment be made to it it was not passed upon -- but on
motion of Mr Walt}our that when this amendment was made the
Mayor be empowered to sign the lease, seconded by Mr Horovitz
the ration passed.

A meeting of Council was held to -day at 4.00 p.m. in the Town
Hall at Tybee and was attendedrby the Mayor and Councilmen Espy,
Walthour, Cann, Logan, Horovitz and Farr and Town Attorney McIntyre.

The managers reported the result of the election held to -day,
as follows;
We the undersigned duly appointed managers of the election
heldat the Town of Tybee, Chatham County, Georgia upon April 12.1927
for the purpose of determining whether a bonded. indebtedness in the s.m

o f$ 22.000.00 should be incurred byb the Mayor and Cbu neilmen of the
Town of Tybee for the purpose of acquiring a plant for the distribuitddn
of electric current do each hereby certify under oath that the said
el t�in, o was held in themanner and the time contained in the notice
Raiff section and that the laws of the State of Georgia and of the
Town of Tybee were in all respects fully complied with,that said
election was faithfully and impartially conducted and that the results
of said election were as follows;to -wit;
Total number of rotes cast 133
Total number of votes favoring
the tssuance of bonds 133
Total number of votes against
the issuance of bonds None
Total number of registered
voters 175
We therefore declare the result of said election as
authorizing the issuance of the bonds as described in the notice
calling said election, it appearing that two- thirds of the qualified
voters of the Town of Tybee voting at said election having assented
to the issuance of the bonds and the said two0thirds so voting being
more than a majority of the registered voters of said Town of Tybee.
