The meeting was intended to review the contract and
preliminary design of the park. The consultants were unable
to attend.
Other Items:
1. May Hardware Marina Expansion: The Department of
Lands has scheduled the application for a hearing.
The Committee asked to be advised of the date.
2. Park Status: The land purchase has been concluded,
and sand hauling, beach clean-up and weed spraying
are in progress.
3. Parking/Park Issue: A discussion of the impacts of
the park on downtown parking followed. Mr. Findlay
asked to be advised of the Committee's work and to
be notified of future meetings. Mr. Findlay agreed
to be the contact for the downtown businesses on
the matter.
Chairman Williamson scheduled Friday, November 3rd at
3:00-5:00 p.m. at City Hall for the next meeting.
