Pursuant to continuance, the Board meets to hear all pereons
interested in the improvement of north & South 8th Street, Be.
ginning at a point on north 6th Street 70' north of Eir. place
running thence south to the south line of North "A" Street:

on South Sth Street, to the south line of South "ii" Street, by
paving the roadway the full width thereof; vith one of the
kinds of modern city pave„ent, to-rit:- Concrete - Brick -
Asrhalt - Creosoted - ooden Block, as provided for by Improve-
ment Resolution No. 345-1915. After hearing all persons inter-
ested rho appeared, and being fully advised in the premises,the
Board decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed
for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of sagas
reported by the City Civil Engineer, less the sum which the
city will pay, to -grit:- The City agrees to pay the cost of the
street F: alley intersections and cuch sum in addition thereto
as will amount to the sum of V9,400.00, and thereupon takes fin-
al action on said resolution the same being confirmed, rithout
mods fi ca ti on.
A petition was presented, for the construction of cement ro@dNay
in the alley lot north of 11a.in Street from 11orth loth to 14th
Street, referred to City Civil 1.nFineer for plans etc.,
On motion of Lire Zimmerman the board decide to sell the market
stalls to the highest & best bidder, the bid to start at a mini-
mum price as pas the custom pri or to the year 191E9 as recommend-
ed by the Common Council.
iir. Zimmerman moved that the Police Department be directed

enforce the law as to the speed of automobiles in
the portion of the city motion prevailed.

This being the d4j set by the Board for going over the bid of
the itichmond Water 'Yorks, for contract L. franchioe to Sarni h
crater to the city & inhabituats thereof. L:r. Zi=.erren moved
that in view of the fact that the Indiana Legislature ras in
session at this time, the Board defer action in said matter until
after said session, when the city could knor vrhether the Stale
of Indiana, v;ould have a 'public Utility Commission, notion unan-
imously prevailed.
