JUNE 3. 1991 1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Board in charge of the operations of the 2 Richmond Power & Light Plant met in regular session June 3, 1991 at the hour of 7:00 P.M. in the Municipal 3 Building in said City. Chairman Elstro presided with the following Councilmembers in attendance: Lundy, 4 Brookbank, Hankinson, McBride, Parker, Morris, Hutton and Paust. Absent: None. The following business was 5 had to-wit: 6 7 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MAY 20. 1991 8 9 Councilmember Hankinson moved to approve the minutes of the previous meetings as prepared, seconded by 10 Councilmember McBride and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 11 12 APPROVAL OF BILLS. RP&L Minutes Cont'd June 3, 1991 Page 2 1 REMARKS BY CHAIRPERSON 2 3 Chairman Elstro announced the special meeting of the Executive Board on June 10, 1991 at 7PM at the Service 4 Building regarding studies for RP&L entering the cable television industry. 5 6 Chairman Elstro announced the cancellation of the June 24, 1991 Executive Board meeting since the regular 7 Board of Directors meeting would be held that night. 8 9 UNFINISHED BUSINESS 10 11 No business. 12 13 STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE REPORT 14 15 None was presented. 16 17 MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS 18 19 None was presented. 20 21 REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER 22 23 Mr. Huffman commented on the ground breaking ceremonies and that they had been video taped and were 24 available for view for anyone not able to attend. 25 26 Mr.Huffman also felt the Ramsey Lewis Trio presentation in Gorge was very well received and Richmond Power 27 &Light had added time and effort to the event. He added that they also assisted with the Pig Out which was a 28 very well received community event. 29 30 Mr. Huffman said that Richmond Power& Light helps the community in projects that they feel will benefit the 31 entire community. 32 33 Mr. Huffman updated the Council on the welding of the turbine shell. He said the main crack was induced by 34 sloppy removal of the bolts at the service shop. Mr. Huffman said RP&L had been represented with this by EPRI 35 and felt their membership in EPRI had saved RP&L many dollars over and over. 36 37 ADJOURNMENT 38 39 There being no further business,on a motion duly made,seconded and passed the meeting was 40 adjourned. 41 42 43 44 45 Howard J.
