HomeMy Public PortalAbout08-06-1990 PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A BOARD IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT PLANT, AUGUST 6, 1990 1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Board in charge of the operation of the 2 Richmond Power & Light Plant, met in regular session August 6, 1990 at the hour of 7:00 P.M. in the Municipal 3 Building in said City. Chairman Lundy presided with the following Councilmembers in attendance: Brookbank, 4 Hankinson, McBride, Parker, Hutton, and Morris. Absent: Paust. He said they anticipate getting complete authority to proceed with the project. Mr. Huffman said they 3 have released the project for fabrication/engineering. 4 5 Mr. Huffman there is no evidence to indicate any kind of environmental problem, only allegations being presented 6 and IMPA is submitting engineering studies and concrete evidence in contradiction. He said if the opposition 7 cannot submit concrete proof, the hearing Judge will have to OK the project and then all due process will have 8 been allowed. 9 10 STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE REPORT 11 12 Councilmember Hutton presented a letter from Mr. Richard Barker concerning the placement of the light poles on 13 East Main and if they allowed accessibility for wheelchairs.
