HomeMy Public PortalAbout06-07-1990 PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A BOARD IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT PLANT, JUNE 7, 1990 1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Board in charge of the operation of the 2 Richmond Power & Light Plant, met in regular session June 7, 1990 at the hour of 7:00 P.M. in the Municipal 3 Building in said City. Chairman Lundy presided with the following Councilmembers in attendance: Brookbank, 4 Hankinson, McBride, Parker, Hutton, Morris and Paust. Absent: None. Total Transfers 43 44 45 End of Month Petty Cash .00 46 Revenue Bonds .00 47 Interest Coupons Redeemed .00 48 Coupons Purchased .00 49 Miscellaneous Bills Already Paid 1,897,719.42 50 Total Bills Not Paid 1,529,195.34 51 52 Grand Total of All Approved Bills 3,426,914.76 53 54 Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Councilmember Elstro moved to approve the investments 55 purchased,transfers made and bills to be paid, seconded by Councilmember Hankinson and on unanimous voice 56 vote the motion was carried. 57 58 REMARKS BY CHAIRMAN 59 60 The Chair had no remarks. 61 62 STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE REPORT 63 64 None was presented. 65 RP&L Minutes Cont'd June 4, 1990 Page 2 1 MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS 2 3 None was presented. 4 5 REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER 6 7 Mr. Huffman reported the Board there were very few outages over the week end due to the storms. He said one 8 outage was due to an accident and other due to wind, but very few problems were had. 9 10 Mr. Huffman spoke of the storm damage done to other areas affecting IMPA who is part owner of Public Service 11 Company of Indiana. He said only two towers with the tornado damage in the Petersburg area. Mr. Huffman 12 said he did not feel the damage was extensive, but the real problem is not having excess power available to IMPA 13 and that may affect rates especially is there is a hot spell prior to fixing the damages. 14 15 Mr.Huffman said he would like to see the final report on the storm damage to the units in the Petersburg area in 16 order to utilize the information to compare with RP&L's system and learn from the experience.
