HomeMy Public PortalAbout09-18-1989 PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,SERVING AS A BOARD IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT PLANT, SEPTEMBER 18, 1989 1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,serving as a Board in charge of the operation of the 2 Richmond Power & Light Plant, met in regular session September 18, 1989 at the hour of 7:00 P.M. in the 3 Municipal Building in said City. Chairman McBride presided with the following Councilmembers in attendance: 4 Elstro, Lundy, Brookbank, Hankinson, Parker, Hutton, Morris and Paust. Absent: None. ' 61 62 STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE REPORT 63 64 Petitions were presented from the residents between 16th and 17th Streets on Reeveston Road. 65 RP&L Minutes Cont'd September 18, 1989 Page 2 1 REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER 2 3 Award Bid for One 19901 1/2 Ton Dump Truck 4 5 Mr.Huffman recommended that the bid for one 1 1/2 ton dump truck be awarded to Fred First Ford, Inc. at 6 25,300.87 less a trade in allowance of 4,000.00 for a total purchase price of 21,300.87 as the lowest bidder and 7 also meeting specifications. There would be a ninety day delivery on the vehicle. 8 9 Councilmember Morris moved to award the bid for the dump truck to Fred First Ford, Inc. at a purchase price of 10 21,300.87,seconded by Councilme.:ther Hankinson and on a voice vote with Councilmember Brookbank properly 11 abstaining the motion was carried. 12 13 Update on Stack Construction 14 15 Mr.Huffman told the Board that some time had been lost due to rain and fumes from the existing stack. He said 16 they feel they are still on target and can go with the planned outage for change over. Mr.Huffman said the liners 17 are being installed and the lights are now on top of the stack with the top half of the stack having been painted. 18 He said the installation of the elevator on the outside is also being done now. 19 20 Chairman McBride asked bout the scrubbing business and IMPA and Mr. Huffman said the proposal had been 21 presented to the Department of Energy,but they did not expect to hear until Christmas time.
