A letter was read from the Freash Air Home asking that they be
releived of paying for electrical service during the coming
season but no action was taken at this time.

the Town to enter a float in the Water Carnival parade i n June
but the opinion of Courcilwwas that it should not be done
A bill from A.Saacon & Sons amountin4 to t 1500.00 for the
construction of the dormitory at the Convict Camp was presented
and on motion of Mr Horovitz that it be paid,seconded by Mr Espy,
it was passed.
Mr Horovitz made a :Lotion that the insuance on the 'dormitory

WHEREAS upon the 4th day of March 1927 the Mayor and Councilmen of

WHEREAS due notice of said intended election was pub-
lished as required by law in the Savannah Press,the newspaper
in which are published sheriff's advertisements of Chatham
County,Georgtapfor tnirty (30) days next preceding said election;
and
WHEREAS said election was held on the 12th day of April
1927 by the duly qualified and authorized aanagers,they first
having taken the oath required by law and the polls having been
kept open as required by law and all of the requirements of the
law having been complied with; and
WHEREAS the said proposed bonded indebtedness received
the assent of two-thirds or the qualified voters voting in said
election and the said two-thirds se voting was and is a majority
of the registered voters of said Town; and
WHEREAS on the 12t1 day of April 1927 at the close of
thepolls said managers of said election met with the Mayor and
Councilmen or the Tocn of Tybee ard brought up the returns of
said election,Yhe said managers having previously publicly
announced the result of said election and the Mayor and Councilmen
0 together with the said mamnagers of said election canvassed said
returns and declared the result to be in favor of the issuance
of said bonds.
SECTION I NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINS by the ayor and Council-
men of the Town of Tybee in Council assembled,that in conform-
ity with the statute in such provided and in cenformity with such
election there shall ba issued by the Mayor and Councilmen of the
Town of Tybee the following mnds, to kLown as electric plant
bonds, to-wit:- Terenty-two Thousand (22,000.00) Dollars of bonds,
which shall be coupon bonds and shall consist of t;lenty-two (22)
bonds of the denonination of One Thousand (1,0O0.00`) Dollars each
and shall be designated and described a a1e3tric plant bonds for
the purpose of constructing or purchasing in sai town a plant o'ith
its necessary -:quipment to furnish electric current for lights, poJer
an' other purposes to the inhabitants of t}'ee Tuen of Tybee or for such
persons within or Iithcut the corporate 1i-its of the „oinicipalitv who
mav have use for the same. The sai bonds shall bear interest at the
rate of five per cent (5q per _Lnnum, payable semi-anuallv, and Shall
be dated. June 1st, 1927, the interest t!lereon to oe payable upon the

to be paid in gold coin of the -Jnited States of the present standard
of weight and ,fineness. The peincipol of sa:ef, bonds to mature and

Thousand (22,000.00) Dollars shall -be paia at the and of the thirtieth
year froil the date of said bonds, so that wht1e of the principal

issuance of said indebtedness. The amount of interest to be paid
annually on said bonds to be five per cent (Y/,) upon the a.ount of

annually deoreasing each year after the ninthi year from the date
of said bonds in the count of five per cent (5) upon the face
value of each bond that shall have matured so the the principal
and interest of said bonds shall have been fully naid off within
thirty (30) years fro,., the date of the incurring of said indebt-
edness. Said bonds to be nayable at the office of the Treasurer
of said Town or at it agency in -,Tew York City, New York. Said
bonds may b registered with the Treasurer of sain2 Town of,Tybee.
Said bonds shall be signed in the corporate name by the Mayor and
have the corporate seal attached duly attested by the Clerk of
Council and Treasurer. Tie ccunons thereon shall be authenticated
by the fac-simile signature of the Mayor and s hond9 and coupons
shall be as follows, save as to the .a.a.ounts and maturity dates of
the same which shall conform to the date when each of the said
bonds shall mature: Each of said bonds shall have at the head of
the same the words "Ton of Tybee 51 Electric Plant Bonds" and in
the body of the same a recital that the same are-issued for the
purpose of buying or constructing a plant with its necessary equip-

This bond is one of a series of lik e. tenor, except as,

issued for the purpose of purchasing or constructing in said. Town
of Tybee a plant with its necessary equipment to furnish electric
currant for lights, power and other purposes to the inhabitants
of the Town of Tybee or for such persons within or without the
corporate limits of the municipality 'whO may have use for the same,
under authority conferred by the Constitution and laws of the
State of Georgia in that behalf provided and pursuant to the re-
sult of an election duly called and held in said Town of Tybee on
the 12th day of April A. D. 1927; the said issue having been duly
validated by order of the Superior Court of Chatham County, Georgia
dated May 2, 1927.
And it is hereby certified and recited that all acts,
conditions and things required to be done precedent to and in the
issuing of this bond have been done, hapnened and been performed in
regular and due for as required by the Constitution and laws of the

shall be made in the annual tax ordinance of each and every year
comprising the period between the date of said bonds and the date
of the maturity of each and all of them.
SECTION .3. 3E 11 FURTHER ORDAINED that all ordinances
and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance be and
the same are hereby repealed.
