Mr. Harris spokesman for the committee stated that the committee had held a meeting and had decided to recommend that the City petition the Public Utility Commission to take up the water works queet. ion in this city as soon as the commission is organized, The Board was reminded that with over 8,000 public utility companies in the State, that unless the city was prompt And urgbn* in its demand for an immediate hearing on the question, it might be some time before the question would be taken up, Ls. Swayne state that the committee would ask the water works company to lay a new main at once while the :Thole question is being considered by the Utility Comris" sion. Mr. Zimmerman moved that the City make application to the Public Utility Commrission through GovernoRalston, to tble up the Plater 1,7orks question in this city as soon as possi after they are organized, motion unanimously prevailed.
