The Board unanimously adopted Improvement "reesolution No. 374- 1913, for the construction of cement curb, gutter and 9 ft, sidewalk on south side of Lain Street, from South 23rd Street to the east corroration line. His Honor directed the City Attorney to look up the law in the matter of legal advertisements for the city, in vievrof dividing said advertising betv:cen the two Daily Ilevepapors in the city. Yeanepo4l, Charles and Zimmerman the follo•ning proceedings were had, to -wit; - in the matter of remonstrance filed against proposed improve- ment of alley lot south of National Road, from 3rd St, to 1st alley west of said 3rd St, and the said lot alley west of said 3rd street, from 1st alley south of Rational ioad to Southwest "D" Street, by conatrucf ing cement roadway in said alleys as provided for by Improvement Resolution No. 366-1913, The City Civil Engineer now reports that there are 22 resident property 12 of whom have signed the remonstrance. There being a majority of the resident property owners vho have signed said remonataance the Board can proceed no further rith said improvement unless ordered to do so by majority vote of the Common Council by ordinance approved by the I_ayor. yr. Zimmerman moved that a bill for on ordinance be prepared recommending its passage to the Common Council for said improve- ment, motion prevailed.
