HomeMy Public PortalAbout07-07-1986 PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A BOARD IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT PLANT, JULY 7, 1986 1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Board in charge 2 of the operation of the Richmond Power & Light Plant, met in regular session July 3 7, 1986 at the hour of 7:00 P.M. in the Municipal Building in said City. President 4 Elstro presided with the following Councilmembers in attendance: Williams, Brookbank, 5 Hankinson, Whitesell, Parker, Bodiker, Hutton and Morris . Absent: None. The 6 following business was had to-wit: 7 8 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF JUNE 16, 1986 9 10 Councilmember Hankinson moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as 11 prepared, seconded by Councilmember Parker and on unanimous voice vote the motion 12 was carried. 13 14 APPROVAL OF BILLS, TRANSFERS AND INVESTMENTS 15 16 Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Councilmember Parker moved to approve 17 the bills already paid, transfers, investments and bills to be paid as follows, 18 seconded by Councilmember Whitesell and on unanimous voice vote the motion was 19 carried. 20 21 Bills Already Paid 22 Payroll and Deductions of 6/13/86 and 6/27/86 316,096.26 , 23 24 Transferss from Cash Operating Fund to: 25 Utility Bond Sinking Fund 71,521.87 26 Depreciation Reserve Fund 91,000.00 27 Cash Reserve Fund 144,094 .50 28 Total Transfers 306,616.37 III 29 30 Investments Purchased from: 31 Depreciation Reserve Fund 1,680,093.42 32 Cash Operating Fund 1,593,013.00 33 Utility Bond Sinking Fund 71,521.87 34 Cash Reserve Fund 144,094.50 35 Consumer Deposit Fund 200,999.58 36 Total Investments 3,689,722.37 37 38 Miscellaneous Bills Already paid 817,749.17 39 40 Total Bills Already Paid 5,130,184.17 41 42 Total Bills Not Paid 887,413.69 43 44 Grand Total of Bills to be Approved 6,017,597.86 45 46 REPORT FROM GENERAL MANAGER 47 48 General Manager Huffman stated he had no report, but would be glad to answer questions. 49 50 Councilmember Brookbank asked about the Black and Veech Agreement and Mr. Huffman 51 stated he had no information with him. 52 III53 Councilmember Hankinson suggested that it be scheduled for the meeting on July 54 28, 1986. 55 56 ADJOURNMENT 57 58 There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed the 59 meeting was adjourned. 60 61 62 Howard J.
